AppleCast

Based in Newburgh on the border of Greater Manchester and Lancashire, AppleCast is a charity working to help young people who are struggling in their lives and who find mainstream schooling and life in general, difficult.  The charity originally sought to engage young people through fishing activities but this has grown expansively over the years and they now have many other offerings. These include an education package which teaches literacy, numeracy and practical skills, as well as a construction crew work experience programme, which provides hands-on opportunities. For people with learning disabilities, activities such as horticulture at their garden centre, conservation and animal therapy are offered. Respite is also available at one of their lovely lodges for those in need. We are delighted to have Applecast as a legacy partner and to have seen how much they have grown over the years, helping many young people and changing lives.
