Families United Network (FUN)

Families United Network (FUN) supports children and young adults throughout Bedfordshire who are living with additional needs and disabilities. In a recent report to us, they say becoming our legacy partner gave them the ‘space and security to rebuild, plan with hope and to protect the services that so many families depend on’. They report our funding has provided thousands of hours of specialist activity and respite support, provided hundreds of inclusive sessions across all age groups and supported more than 260 children and young people, as well as their siblings and parents. Our funding also allowed them to develop their Centre to become fully adapted, turning it into a space where children and young people feel safe, welcome and included. They concluded their report by saying that lives have been changed, families stabilised and futures strengthened, which is all we had hoped for and more.
