Ambitious About Autism

It was great to see pupils at Ambitious About Autism’s Rise School making good use of the 1:1 learning spaces created with the help of our grant.  The school were able to renovate space to allow 5 new areas which they also use for mental health support sessions, calm space and to help with transitions.

Ambitious about Autism is a national charity dedicated to the education, employment and wellbeing of autistic children and young people.  Their pioneering schools and colleges directly support over 300 autistic young people helping them with their social progress as well as academically.  Having the individual, designated spaces has also allowed staff to be able to deliver a range of interventions which has helped to decrease the number of incidents and escalations seen and improved outcomes in terms of social assessments.
