Middlesex Association for the Blind

Middlesex Association for the Blind (MAB) is a charity that has been dedicated to empowering visually impaired people to live independently and fully participate in their communities for over 100 years.

Sight loss affects every aspect of daily life – from the practical challenges of navigating the home environment and managing correspondence, to the emotional impact of adjusting to changed circumstances and maintaining social connections. MAB’s approach is holistic, addressing not just the immediate practical needs but also the psychological and social aspects of living with sight loss in a world designed primarily for sighted people. With our funding support and through its comprehensive range of services, delivered by dedicated staff and volunteers, MAB are helping people in their lives, connecting them with others who share similar experiences, or advocating for their needs with other agencies and we and the many people they support are extremely grateful for their efforts.
