Mosaic

Mosaic is a Dorset based charity supporting bereaved children and young people, their families and the professionals who work with them. The charity seeks to bridge the gap in bereavement provision across the county and help children who are about to or who have lost a special family member, whether it be to long term illness, a sudden death or other circumstances.  They work collaboratively with a number of agencies to provide a cohesive framework of support before, during and after the death – whichever is appropriate. EGF’s most recent funding provided early bereavement and pre-bereavement support to 123 children and young people through the charity’s trained counsellors. Residential camps and regular fun activities bring the young people together when they are able to share their stories and feelings. They also run a dedicated phone line for teachers and families which gives access to advice and support – simply brilliant.
