A New President Emeritus

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Mike Street has agreed to become our President Emeritus following his retirement as Chair at the end of June.  Mike has been Chair of EGF for the past 17 years and during this time we have all benefited enormously from his wisdom and support, not to mention his leadership under which we have awarded nearly £50M in charitable donations. 

Denis Taylor, EGF’s incoming Chair said “Just like his predecessor and great friend, Ted Gostling, Mike has the spirit of charity and the will to always do good for others running through him.  We are all so pleased that he will continue to be a mentor, guide and friend to us all going forward”. Mike Street, said “Leading EGF over the last 17 years has been a great privilege and a real joy. I am increasingly humbled when I think of the ‘army’ of incredible people who work tirelessly for our Charity including fellow Trustees and colleagues and those working on behalf of our wonderful Charity Partners. Through them, Ted’s dream has become a reality and to be asked once again to follow in his footsteps as President Emeritus is a great honour”.
