two people looking at each other

Stockdales

It was lovely to hear from Stockdales, a charity supporting children and adults with learning disabilities in Manchester, that their ‘Home Sweet Home Project’ to create a ‘home for life’ for severely disabled people has now finally concluded and they have welcomed the first people through the door. The process has been long with the charity first of all having to secure funding and find a suitable property (no easy task!). This was then followed by months of building/re-modelling to ensure all the necessary requirements and regulations were met and the house could provide the comfortable space they wanted. The finished project has resulted in a rather lovely place to live for the 6 adults who require round-the-clock care but with the space having the feel of a home rather than a care home. We are delighted to have been able to help them achieve this and wish the residents much happiness.
