Alive Activities
This lovely picture captures some of Alive Activities’ residents having fun whilst taking part in a ‘Dancing Through the Ages’ session which was delivered by a professional dance teacher via Zoom and face to face when restrictions were lifted. The project was introduced to alleviate social isolation, improve mental health and wellbeing and help people to reconnect with their memories and sense of personal identity. Each session looked at one or two different ballroom dances and people learnt a bit of its history and, following a warm up, they practiced a few steps if they were able and wanted to. There was some lovely feedback from those who took part and, in their thank you for our support, Alive said we had helped to brighten lives with this activity.
