Isabel Hospice

Isabel Hospice provides free palliative care to patients and their families living in east Hertfordshire. Our support of their falls prevention course, part of their Living Well programme, was sadly cut short when the pandemic arrived and sessions had to stop but, with the help of our team, they were able to re-assign funds to be able to support their therapists in the activities required to continue supporting people online and virtually. A bank of resources, including online relaxation and exercise videos was created and the charity delivered many 1-2-1 sessions to show people how to manage the common symptoms of fatigue, breathlessness and strategies to help avoid falls. They are cautiously beginning to open up again now and are looking to reinstate the Living Well programme which benefits so many people.
